A Hot Dinners exclusive
The final pivot from the Pachamama group's central London restaurants is taking form in Marylebone following the closure of the original Pachamama in Marylebone. In its place will be Nina which follows the path taken by the group's other restaurants Zephyr and Bottarga in focusing on Mediterranean food instead. This time their attention is turning to Italy and family-style feasts.
The menu sounds just like the kind of food that's been doing so well in London at the moment, so there will be great crudos and carpaccios to start with, along with a fresh focaccia that comes with Parmesan butter which we are all for. Pasta though is the main event and dishes we're told to expect on the launch menu include:
- Beef shin tagliatelle
- Spaghetti with tomato and stracciatella
- Bottarga linguine with bluefin tuna tartare
Obviously, there will be tiramisu for dessert but honestly, we're just as excited about the burnt cheesecakes made with stracciatella or the brown butter and hazelnut cannoli. And as for the wine list, that's a purely Italian love affair.
Given what a huge hit Bottarga has been, expect the buzz around this to be just as big.
