News reaches us that the Big Mamma Group has designs on the City of London. While we wait to hear what they're doing over in Canary Wharf, we hear that they're also looking at opening a new restaurant in the heart of the financial square mile. According to reports they're fairly far down the line in acquiring an interest in the building beside 1 Lombard Street.
We do know that they want to open a restaurant that takes over part of the ground floor there. It's a huge space and it looks from the plans as though the Big Mamma restaurant would take over the rear of the building with an entrance on the corner of St Swithin's Lane. There are a lot of questions, but one thing's for sure, this would be a killer space for Big Mamma. There would be room for around 200 people to eat in as well as a separate bar.
