The first big awards of the 2025 season are here as the Top 50 UK Gastropubs list has been revealed. For the second year in a row (and its third time in total), Suffolk pub The Unruly Pig has claimed the top spot. We visited The Unruly Pig last year and can definitely see what all the fuss is about - read our Test Drive here.
Just behind them, however, it's a very strong showing for The Devonshire which has gone straight in at number two. It caps off an amazing year for the pub which has seen it go from strength to strength both in terms of the pub and upstairs grill (not to mention getting ALL the celebs into its Green Room).
There's a notable boost for London pubs on the list this year, with 12 pubs from the city making the top 50 (up from eight last year). Newcomers include The Tamil Prince (45) in Islington and The Watermans Arms (37) in Barnes, while longstanding gastropub The Eagle in Farringdon also makes it back into the top 50 at no. 43.
