21/3/25 - updated with the opening date.
Flat Iron is getting even bigger. The affordable steakhouse already has 14 restaurants in London and there's about to be a 15th - and it's also their second in Waterloo.
Clearly, they've set their sights on opening in more prominent places following their recent opening right on Victoria station. The next one is taking over the huge space right at the bottom of the Royal Festival Hall (where Spiritland once was). It looks like one of the biggest Flat Irons yet (seating over 220) and will be extremely handy for anyone out for a concert or play on the South Bank. They'll also be making good use of the terrace.
As for food, expect the same mix of their titular flat iron steak (priced at £14 at the time of writing), special larger steak cuts, their triple cheese burger and a complimentary soft serve to finish it all off. This Flat Iron will also see them introducing a new limited-release Reserve Malbec, and there will only be 3000 of these available across all their restaurants.
They'll be launching this restaurant with a giveaway of 500 free wagyu steaks on the opening date. That'll be first come first served, so expect mammoth queues for that.
