Bar Valette in Shoreditch is the next opening from The Clove Club's Isaac McHale

Bar Valette Is coming from The Clove Club's Isaac McHaleHow the space looked as Two Lights

A few weeks back, Isaac Mc Hale parted ways with the other founders of The Clove Club, Johnny Smith and Daniel Willis, with each side talking about the promise of new restaurants to come. McHale, who hung onto The Clove Club, has now revealed what's next for him.

According to The Standard, he's opening a more casual space called Bar Valette. It's opening in the space where Two Lights once was (which was, you may remember, previously backed by The Clove Club team). Apparently, the food will have both French and Spanish influences and the restaurant will also use the same producers that The Clove Club does (although it definitely won't be in that price range).

Head chef Erin Jackson comes over from The Clove Club and the new space will be sharing one of that restaurant's dishes, buttermilk chicken with pine, alongside new dishes like duck egg and rabbit leg stuffed with rabbit farce and mushrooms. To us, it sounds like it's harking back to the days of The Clove Club's bar, when it was a more affordable way to try out that restaurant.

We'll have more news about this one closer to the opening date.
