Arriving with impeccable timing to cater to the crush that is going to be Oxford Street over the coming weeks, Japanese baking folk Happy Sky Bakery unveiled their brand new bakery over the weekend. This, their second place, is on Hanway Street which is, as they handily explain "a quiet little street tucked just behind the big Primark near Tottenham Court Road station."

"I can’t promise everything will be perfect just yet," said founder and head baker Motoko McNulty. "There’s still so much to do. But one thing I can promise is this: the bread will be delicious. That’s the one thing I know I can always deliver."

On offer at their central branch will be all the sweet and savoury bread and pastry options that have made them such a hit in Shepherds Bush. So you'll find their amazing Tokyo milk bread, matcha pistachio croissants, chicken katsu sandos and more.
