Mahali bakery sees two top bakers opening in Battersea

Mahali bakery comes to Battersea

Mahali and Co have been winning a lot of fans over the past few years as both a bakery delivery and catering company, but now they've landed their own place in Battersea.

The duo behind it are Ru-Yan Foong and Miguel Jocson, both pastry chefs who trained in Sydney, who set up Mahali and Co back in 2019. Ru-Yan's CV includes working for Ottolenghi and The Fat Duck while Miguel was head pastry chef at The Langham Sydney. They say that their aim is to diversify London’s café culture "by embracing our own cultural backgrounds" - Ru-Yan grew up in China and Miguel is from the Philippines - and that's something that's reflected in what you'll find in their new bakery and cafe.

Mahali Bakery opened this past weekend and it's already finding plenty of fans so if you're in the area, we'd say that popping by the new opening is a must.

On offer, you'll find lots of pastries and cookies like miso white chocolate,  a chocolate-flavoured pain au chocolate, black sesame madeleines and lots more (as well as coffee to take away). Expect queues to develop as the word gets out...
