They already have three restaurants in central London, but Din Tai Fung are heading east for their fourth opening, to Canary Wharf. The restaurant group best known for its perfectly pleated xiao long bao will be up and running in Crossrail Place early next year.
It's the smallest of the four (although that's relative as there will still be room for 112 diners) but this one will also have a private dining room. They're also promising the odd masterclass too.
As with all their other restaurants, there will be a 'show kitchen' so you can see the chefs at work making those 18-fold dumplings. It'll also serve up London-inspired dishes like the beef xiao long bao and everyone's favourites like the pork chop with egg fried rice, and salted egg yolk custard lava buns.
