Pizza Pilgrims and Salt The Radish are closing in Finsbury Park

salt the radish closing

It's a bleak start to the week for Finsbury Park residents as two local favourites announce their closure. A few days ago residents noticed that the Pizza Pilgrims restaurant on Seven Sisters Road had closed and removed its sign. Hopes that this was part of a rebrand were dashed when Hot Dinners was told: "we’re building a sustainable business for the longer term and this location just isn’t quite right for the full experience we want to offer."

Following hard on the heels of that news came an announcement from popular independent coffee shop Salt The Radish. the vegcentric cafe that opened on Blackstock Road back in 2017. In a post on Instagram the owners said; "We are very sad to have to announce the closure of Salt the Radish Cafe later this year. Following prolonged negotiations about the future of the premises, our landlord has decided not to renew the lease."

The cafe will have its last service on 15 December, giving its many loyal customers a chance to go in and say goodbye. "Looking on the bright side," they added, "it’s not the end for Salt the Radish. We’ll be continuing with our events, supper clubs, catering and perhaps a few new ideas, so watch this space!"
