Just in time for World Pasta Day, we have discovered details of a new opening by one of London's best. They already have popular restaurants on Old Street and in Fitzrovia, and now Officina 00 are going even more central for their next restaurant.
They're planning to open in Covent Garden, taking on one of the newly developed spaces on Dryden Street (just off Drury Lane and around the corner from Covent Garden). Expect something similar to their other locations, including a central pasta lab where you can sit up at the counter.
As for Officina themselves, they bill themselves as an artisanal pasta restaurant (and pasta workshop). Some of their signature dishes include their fried cacio a pepe raviolo and panko lasagna snacks as well as their huge XL double raviolo filled with semi-dried tomatoes, burrata and aged balsamic. We'd say to expect a similar menu at this third restaurant, with a few new dishes for the Covent Garden crowd. Given the layout of the space, their pasta workshops should make an appearance too.
We'll have full details when there's an official announcement.
