Italian restaurant Artusi Soho takes the reins at Underbelly Boulevard

Italian restaurant Artusi Soho takes the reins at Underbelly Boulevard

Cafe Kitty only lasted nine months as the Soho Underbelly Bouevard's dining spot, but now another high-profile restaurant is giving it a shot.  This time, it's Peckham's Artusi (also behind Marcella in Deptford), who will be taking it on as Artusi Soho.

if you're unfamiliar with Artusi, it's an Italian restaurant that specialises in seasonal produce and fresh pasta dishes. As of yet, they haven't revealed the menu of the Soho restaurant, but to give you an idea - here's what they serve up in Peckham at the moment:

  • Smoked Cod's Roe, Crispy Polenta, Soft Boiled Egg
  • Tagliatelle, Nuda, Datterini
  • Braised Featherblade, Confit Garlic Mash, Cime di Rapa
  • Caramelised White Chocolate Ice Cream

We'll have more details of the actual menu closer to the opening.

Being a theatre restaurant (although you don't need tickets to eat there), they'll also have a special theatre menu at two courses for £25 or three courses for £30, which is a pretty good deal in Soho.

Londoners do love a bit of fresh pasta, so hopefully Artusi will have more success in the space than what came before.
