Kêu will be serving up Vietnamese noodles and banh mis at London Bridge

Kêu's Vietnamese noodles and banh mis are coming to London Bridge

London Bridge (alongside Borough Market/Yards and Bermondsey) has become one of London's most evolving food scenes of late, with some excellent new openings, including Oma/Agora, Kolae and Café Francois. Now a great new Vietnamese restaurant is coming too.

The Vietnamese Kitchen group (also behind Viet Grill and Cay Tre) are bringing their next Kêu restaurant to the area. Taking the space that once held Patty&Bun, this new location will have a little more focus on the noodle side of things, taking Vietnam's late-night noodle bars, and Saigon specifically as an inspiration. The London Bridge location will have an expanded noodle menu, but you can expect some of the signatures from their existing spots like:

  • Hủ tiếu Nam Vang - Rice noodles, homemade sweet soya sauce, pork 3 ways, prawn, celery, beansprouts, slow poached egg & broth
  • Saigon Noodle |(Mì vằn thắn khô) - Homemade egg noodles, 5 spices pork, lettuce, prawn, pork & prawn dumplings, sesame oil & broth

There will, of course, also be the banh mis that the restaurant made its name on, including their classic, featuring Vietnamese mortadella, homemade chicken liver paté, spiced pork belly, mayo and ham terrine.

As for the look of the place, they're aiming for traditional noodle-house seating with tables and stools upstairs, and a longer sharing table downstairs.

We can see this going down very well and given the extra focus on the "late-night" aspect, this should also prove very useful for a late-night snack in London Bridge.
