Looks like Londoners' appetites for NYC-style bagels are firmly in the ascendant as news reaches us that the super popular bagel bakery It's Bagels is now heading into the West End.
The bakery, which debuted in Primrose Hill in 2023, opened a second branch this summer in Notting Hill which was also a big hit. So the idea that they are also about to take Soho by storm seems a solid prospect.
The bakery has taken over a corner site on D'Arblay and Berwick Street. Like their new Notting Hill site, there is a small amount of room to sit in and enjoy your bagels. The big news is that this branch will be the first to offer grab-and-go ready-filled bagels. Choose from:
- The Works – cream cheese, lox, capers, onion, lemon, seasonal tomato
- BEC – bacon, egg, cheese
- Whitefish salad made with British haddock
Expect there to be queues from day one, but the grab-and-go section should make that a little easier to manage than before.
