Right now London appears to be having a moment when it comes to luxury hotels. Over the past year or so we've had a slew of high end establishments opening their doors to guests including the Peninsula London, The Emory and Raffles London at The OWO. Now one of that new band has made it onto the list celebrating the most amazing hotels in the world.
Last night the 2024 list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels was announced at a bash in London and three of this city's places made the grade. This morning the teams at The Connaught (46), Claridge's (11) and Raffles London at The OWO will all be celebrating. For Raffles (their restaurant Saison is pictured above) it's a double celebration as the Whitehall hotel also won the Lavazza Highest New Entry Award. It was singled out as a "truly sumptuous new addition to London’s thriving hotel scene".
Outside London, just one hotel in the rest of the UK made the grade - Gleneagles. And if you're interested in what made the No 1 position, that was the Capella Bangkok.
