4/4/25 - updated with opening details
It's been planned a while, but a big change for Fulham is now imminent.
Fulham Pier is a big new riverside add-on behind the brand new Riverside stand of Fulham's Craven Cottage stadium and it's all become way more than just an add-on to the new stand. First, it opens up a riverside walkway and promenade that was previously not accessible, meaning you'll be able to walk along the river from Putney Bridge to Hammersmith Bridge.
But the new seven-storey building on the promenade is adding lots more, including a brand new food hall, called Riverside Market. Fulham was the location of the first-ever (and now gone) Market Hall, but this looks like a more grander proposition than that was.
It'll have space for 250 with a big 10m digital screen at the heart of it. That's for "digital artwork" at the moment but (with an eye on Boxpark) we do have to wonder if they'll use it for sporting events in the future.
As for the food, that will include:
- Tinie Tempah's Raps - fried chicken wraps
- Giola Butter Chicken - Indian butter chicken boxes and rotis
- Tacos El Ray - Mexican food from the founders of Breddos
- Fat Pickle Burgers - Smashed burgers from an Honest Burgers alum
- Local Greens - Salads and more
- Slice & Dice - NYC-inspired pizza slices
- Happy Endings - ice cream sandwiches
There will also be alfresco seating by the river, making this possibly London's best-located food hall. And there's more to come, with Adam Byatt's Brasserie Constance opening in the building too.
