Phil Howard brings in big-name chefs for a series of Elystan Street dinners

You may have come across the expression "four hands" dinner before. Essentially it's a rather cheffy way of talking about a team-up between two chefs. That's exactly what Phil Howard is planning at Elystan Street over the next few months, and it's the first time he's done this in his own kitchen.

He's teaming up with five big names for special six-course menus, with each of them taking on three courses each. Here's who's in the line-up:

Thomas Straker (19 September) of Straker's in Notting Hill. We imagine butter will make an appearance.

Jackson Boxer (24 October) with a dinner designed to showcase all six of his restaurants

Adam Byatt (21 November) showcasing dishes from Trinity, Upstairs and Bistro Union

Alexis Gauthier (16 January 2025) where the chefs will team up for a plant-based dinner

Emily English (January 2025) - the noted nutritionist will work on a menu which aims to start the new year with healthy eating.

As the chef says "It has taken me 35 years to develop a genuine appetite to engage with ‘four hands’ dinners at one of my restaurants. I have done many over the years, all over the world, but the time has now come to do so in my own kitchen. The food world has evolved so much over this same period of time that I just cannot resist the temptation to cook with some of the country’s most inspirational chefs."

Look out for details of the upcoming collaborations on the Elystan Street website.
