Little Baobab has been serving up authentic Senegalese cuisine from its Peckham Levels hatch and other pop-ups across town (as well as quite a few music festivals) for a while. Now they're launching something different, settling in as the new long-term resident kitchen at the Africa Centre (in the space where Tatale used to be).
Adding something new from its regular offering, this Little Baobab will be introducing a new seasonal dinner menu (alongside a more casual lunch menu), with dishes including:
- Akara pancake with tomato onion sauce and fried okra
- Plantain tart with Nambe (black-eyed peas)
- Lamb Mafe: Lamb chops served with creamy sauce, fried cassava puree, and grilled carrots
- Chocolate millet cake with caramel peanut sauce
They'll also have regular live music, showcasing some of London’s best African musicians. It's a big new step for this West African favourite, and should be well worth checking out.
