Mimosa at The Langham has already closed its doors

mimosa langham london closed

A Hot Dinners exclusive

They had a star-studded party to launch it, but just five months after it opened Mimosa at The Langham has already closed its doors. All mention of the restaurant has been removed from the hotel's website and, when we called, a representative of the hotel told Hot Dinners that it was shut 'indefinitely'. That was later changed to "Mimosa has now closed."

It's one of the shortest-lived openings in recent London restaurant history, although not quite as bad as nearby All'onda which lasted just six weeks before calling it a day. Mimosa was a Mediterranean-focused offering run by the same group behind Cafe Laperouse at The OWO (which received a drubbing from critic Jay Rayner, although we were more forgiving).

If Mimosa is indeed gone for good, perhaps The Langham should bring back the hugely successful residency by Five Star Kitchen winner Dom Taylor, The Good Front Room, which was doing great business before it closed after a 10-month stint at the hotel.
