Updated 12/8/24: TL;DR - they're not
They're a huge hit on the US West Coast, but over the weekend rumours started flying about whether In-N-Out Burger could be coming to London next.
News broke late on Friday of a TikTok account, called @innoutburgercamden that seemed to suggest just that. Four videos were posted, indicating that In-N-Out Burger was coming to Camden High Street in December, promising the same menu as the US alongside some special London dishes. All of which made London foodies wonder was this the real deal or was someone pulling their leg? Not only that but it turned out there was another UK In-N-Out TikTok account suggesting that there might be a UK tour taking in, among other places, Westfield and The Brunswick Centre.
Of course there was the possibility that this is just a pop-up, as that has happened twice before, in 2012 in Hendon and in 2016 in Swiss Cottage. For those pop-ups, however, there was next to no warning that they were coming, so a four-month warning seemed unlikely.
Sadly we've now had confirmation direct from In-N-Out themselves that these TikTok accounts have nothing to do with them.
"We are not affiliated with the TikTok account, which features our logo and the inaccurate message of opening a location or hosting a pop-up event in Camden, UK," a spokesperson told us. "It was likely created as a prank or to attract online attention."
So right now they have no plans to come to the UK...that they're telling us.
