Victory Mansion transforms into TA-KO in Stoke Newington

Victory Mansion transforms into TA-KO in Stoke Newington

Victory Mansion in Stoke Newington has been a neighbourhood restaurant and bar in Stoke Newington for a few years now, an Asian/Mexican fusion affair with their "ta-kos" being the biggest draw. Now they've just had a big revamp and with that a name change - they're now TA-KO.

They've brought in a new menu which, as you might expect, goes big on their titular Asian-inspired tacos including:

  • Nahm jim chicken, pickled carrot & daikon, crispy onions, kampot mayo
  • Palm sugar glazed beef short rib, pickled kohlrabi, blackberry sriracha
  • Crispy cauliflower, black bean & tamarind ragu, avocado, pepper mayo

Alongside the tacos, they have prawn and ceviche tostadas, kare with crispy rice, "MSG" fries and more. They also go big on cocktails, with drinks like the Toasted Rice (toasted rice mezcal, salted agave, grapefruit bitters).

So if you're in the area, or are a local and have been wondering what's been happening with Victory Mansion - TA-KO could be worth a look. They also have an outside terrace,  so that's going to be very handy in the next few weeks alone.
