A few years back, we reported on the impending arrival of Mykonos restaurant Nammos, which was supposed to be heading to Knightsbridge. Now it turns out that those plans have changed and the restaurant is instead coming to Mayfair.
They'll be taking over from Il Borro, a large Italian restaurant in Mayfair in a building which has been plagued by building works and renovations over the past year which we'll presume made restaurant trading difficult. Those works should be completed by the time Nammos opens, so we think they'll have a better chance.
As for what to expect, the food will be hitting that current trend of Mediterranean cuisine, with a focus on seafood and sushi. Their other restaurants have a real beach/seaside vibe to them, so they'll have to adapt to the less beachy vibes of London. We'll have more on that closer to the opening date.
