123V sees Alexis Gauthier take his vegan concept to Browns in Mayfair

It's been almost a year since Native at Browns closed its doors, but now we hear that there's a brand new restaurant taking its place. Chef Alexis Gauthier first previewed his 123V concept across the road from Browns at the now-closed Fenwick. So it's a short hop for him and his team to move to these new surroundings.

They'll be taking over the inside restaurant and gorgeous hidden courtyard space at Browns serving up an array of inventive plant-based dishes - perfect for the fashion crowd. And they're launching at the same time as a brand new terrace at the front of the high-end store, making it the only place to eat alfresco on Brook Street.

"We’re super excited to be invited to open in Browns," says chef Gauthier, "and it’s comforting to know they share our vision for deliciousness and creativity with compassion."

If you haven't been to one of the 123Vs before then the key dishes to try are their amazing-looking plant-based nigiri sushi and sushi tacos. They've also got some new summer rolls on the menu along with a series of Garden Bowls which will be a super-light ramen or summer velouté.

The wine list will also be all-vegan and has been curated by Gauthier Soho's sommelier David Havlik. They're also promising to serve a wide range of mocktails and infusions based around seasonal garden plants.

It sounds like a good fit for the fashion brand and space and that courtyard space in central London is a real hidden oasis.
