If your weekends are spent tracking down the best sandwiches in town - and we wouldn't judge you for that - then you're going to need to free up the weekend of 17-19 May in your diary. That's when Sarnie Party is taking over the Camden Town Brewery in Kentish Town for three days of devotion to things in bread.
The festival, curated by Meatopia's Molly Hutchinson and Allie Behr of Hot Sauce Society, is promising a stellar line up of the UK’s hottest chefs and sandwich shops who'll be creating special sandwiches for the festival.
Highlights include:
- Untitled Sandwich Shop - Peanut Butter Jelly Time (Fried Chicken Cutlet, Cheddar Cheese, Peanut Butter Mayo, Hot Pepper Jelly, Bacon Bits, House Pickles, Shredded Iceberg - in their freshly baked Sesame Hero Roll)
- The Bodega - Lasagna Del Rey (Aged beef ragu, mozzarella, sun dried tomato marinara, smoked cheese white sauce, fried pasta sheets, spinach and loads of Parmesan in thick sliced white loaf.)
- E5 Bakehouse Crispy Potato Egg Mayo (Super herby egg mayo with pickled cucumbers and crispy potatoes)
- Dom's Subs - Prosciutto i Tonno (Freshly sliced Proscuitto San Daniele with tinned tuna, salted capers and lemon)
Every day will feature a different line-up which will be a mix of London heavyweights like Mondo Sando, Rogue's Sarnie and Ruben's Reubens alongside visitors from further way including Picnic Margate, Big Deal’s Bodega and some special guests from flour suppliers, Wildfarmed. There will also be music and entertainment from local DJs and drag queens.
