In one of those announcements that makes you check the calendar to confirm that it is the end of April rather than the beginning, but it is the case that KFC is releasing a perfume.
It's no ordinary perfume, of course. The No 11 Eau de BBQ, is exactly what it sounds like - the smell of a barbecue in a bottle. So, instead of going to a barbecue and wondering if you'll ever get rid of the smell of smoke from your clothes, you can bypass all that with this scent. Promising an "initial burst of smoky wood and charcoal notes to the tantalising aroma of sizzling spices and marinated meats" the question is will it really smell of a barbecue or instead that you've been hanging inside a KFC for a little too long?
The launch is, of course, linked to something new on the menu, KFC's Ultimate BBQ Burger which is chicken, crispy onions and BBQ sauce in a brioche bun. The perfume will cost a bit extra, but it's only £11 (11 refers to the number of herbs and spices, of course), so it's definitely something to think about buying for someone who just loves their 'cue (or a KFC).
