The new restaurants and bars opening in London this week

Our regular weekly guide to what to expect from the week ahead in London, with the restaurants, bars and more opening their doors across town. This week, Claude Bosi's Josephine comes to Marylebone, Casa Fofo's chef opens a new restaurant and more...

Bianca'sBianca's

Stoke Newington - 175 Stoke Newington Road, London N16 8BP

Michelin-starred Casa Fofo has been a big hit in Hackney for chef Adolfo De Cecco and now he's getting ready to open his second restaurant. Not too far away from Fofo, Bianca's is seen as a more casual restaurant and wine bar where they're encouraging people to drop in for wine and snacks as much as a full-blown dinner. They'll have regularly changing charcuterie, which they cure on-site alongside seasonal dishes like pork agnolotti with smoked mackerel broth and a very fancy-sounding hazelnut and shitake mille feuille.

Opening: 24 April 2025

Josephine

Marylebone - 6-8 Blandford St, London W1U 4AU

Claude Bosi's original Josephine was a deserved success in Chelsea but, unless you lived in the area, it wasn't the easiest place to get to. The second location is much more central and this version of the restaurant will be based on Parisian bistros and brasseries. The souffle this time around will be Camembert-based, and there's a whole fruits de mer section. You can also expect classic dishes like terrine de foie gras and steak tartare. They'll be serving breakfast, if you fancy having your scrambled eggs with a little black truffle.

Opening: 24 April 2025

CeruCeru

Farringdon - Denmark House, 9-13 Cowcross Street, London EC1M 6DR

Taking over what was an Itsu is Ceru, a restaurant that has a Middle-Eastern focus on its menu and which already has branches in Kensington and Queensway. There should be a broadly similar menu in the new restaurant, with cuisine that roams from Turkey through to the Lebanon and over to Cyprus. Dishes include their signature lamb shoulder, slow-roasted with a blend of 12 Shawarma spices and more.

Opening: 22 April 2025

PanaderaPanadera

Soho - 3 Hopkins St, London W1F 0DP

Following the closure in Kentish Town, a much bigger version of Florence Mae's Filipino cafe/bakery is opening in Soho this week. You can expect the same winning combo of pandesal (Filipino bread rolls), Filipino pastries and excellent sandos to make an appearance here along with a few new specials.

Opening: 26 April 2025
