Studio Frantzén in Harrods is getting ready to launch a new weekend brunch - that's coming in April - but in the meantime, they've already kicked off with waffles. And being Harrods, these waffles come with slightly more ostentatious toppings, of course.
The new Waffle Hour runs from 11am to noon, Monday to Saturday and features several options that aren't your everyday waffles:
- Waffles & Caviar (with crème fraiche and beurre noisette) with either Kaluga caviar (30g) - £105; or Vendace Roe (30gr) - £49
- Veal Steak Tartare Waffle (with truffle aïoli, celery and Parmesan) - £16
- Lobster Skagen Waffle (with wasabi, mayonnaise, pickled onion) - £17
- Cherry & Waffles (with almond brittle, marshmallow ice cream and tonka bean) - £14
- Strawberry Waffle (with salted milk ice cream, vanilla and pistachio) - £14
They're all available on the rooftop terrace of the restaurant. So if you find yourself doing a bit of an early morning shopping trip in Knightsbridge and like the idea of treating yourself to a bit of a posh snack, these might be worth a try.
