Sam's Kitchen is taking from Sam's Larder in Chiswick

sam's kitchen opening in chiswick

We bring good news for Chiswick folk who've been perturbed by the delayed reopening of Sam's Larder after Christmas. Over the past few weeks it's been transformed into a Sam's Kitchen and is about to open its doors once more.

Following in the (successful) footsteps of the Sam's Kitchen in Hammersmith, this new 40-seat cafe will be a daytime operation focusing on breakfast and lunch options. Head chef Abbie comes with excellent credentials too having been at both La Trompette and The Glasshouse.

Abbie's dishes sound like just the thing to entice locals working from home to get out of the house during the day with options including:

  • Brixham crab crumpet
  • Toasted banana bread with whipped coconut cream and tropical fruits
  • Brindisa chorizo with jalapeño and honey butter cornbread
  • Fried haddock sandwich on brioche with Thai-style slaw

Art aficionados should also pay attention to the pieces on show here - they're by the artist Sir Peter Blake and once lived on the walls of owner Sam Harrison's former Chiswick restaurant Sam's Brasserie.
