If you're mad into your wines and looking for a good restaurant wine list to work your way through then the reveal of this week's Star Wine lists for the UK is a good starting place.
The lists, which are a celebration of the best in the world, were particularly good news for Mountain in Soho which picked up two gold stars for Best Newcomer and Best Long List along with the big prize, The Grand Prix for best list overall. It was a big deal for the restaurant's all-female wine team led by Holly Willcocks and Martina Larnach whose list focuses on “wines from beautiful places, made by kind people that treat the soil, the land, and the people respectfully”.
Mountain wasn't the only London restaurant celebrating, here's who else picked up an award.
- Best Austrian wine list - Newcomer, Dalston
- Best Sparkling Wine List - Les 110 de Taillevent, Marylebone
- Best By The Glass List - Noble Rot, Mayfair
- Best Sustainable Wine List - Apricity, Mayfair
