While there's been a LOT of attention on the opening of The Devonshire, there have also been some changes at Oisin Rogers' old Mayfair haunt The Guinea. During Rogers' tenure, we'd heard about some very big plans there and now those plans have finally come to fruition.
The pub has managed to nab an extra building next door, so the pub has significantly increased its dining space. However, they've taken great care to make sure that the new part of the pub matches seamlessly with the original space. This new area means you can actually dine by the window for the first time. They've also added two new private dining rooms upstairs, The Gallery and The Wine Room. Despite all this extra space, the main pub area downstairs remains the same (and we expect locals prefer it that way).
The new look pub is open now, so if you fancy taking a gander while eating one of their dry-aged steaks from Frank Godfrey, now's the time.
