A Petrossian caviar cafe and shop is popping up at The Savoy

The latest pop-up to take over the shop space in The Thames Lobby at The Savoy, following their Gucci one, is by caviar specialists Petrossian. The Parisian-based caviar merchants have opened a shop and cafe serving up an array of luxe food. You'll find it through the first section of the lobby, down the stairs just before you hit the Beaufort Bar.

Outside the shop are a handful of tables where you can order from a menu focusing on smoked salmon, tarama and caviar. If it's caviar in particular you're after then there are five varieties on offer ranging from Baeri Baïka Tsar Impérial Caviar at £100 for 30g through to Beluga Tsar Impérial Caviar which will set you back £1500 for 125g. Sides of new potatoes, toast or blinis are extra.

On the short drinks list you'll find Champagne (obviously), wine options are Sancerre or Viognier or you could opt for shots of Petrossian's own brand vodka.

Interestingly there's a teaser that this popup might be the start of more things to come. Apparently, it "represents the beginning of a wider partnership between the two brands, with additional plans for 2024 to be announced soon."
