Opening very under the radar between Christmas and New Year in Chelsea is Tabisca, an Italian restaurant which started in Lecce. The original restaurant over there describes its offering as "dishes with particular attention to the flavours of Salento and Puglia".
The restaurant has an enormous menu featuring everything from crostini to meat and cheese platters. But the main focus is meat with tartares, carpaccio and Sicilian meat skewers all on offer. They also, rather randomly, feature steaks from around the world including Presa from Spain, Tomahawks from Ireland and Scotland and dry-aged Florentine steaks from Chianinina in Italy.
As for the London location, they've taken over the site where 1771 used to be, just off Lower Sloane Street.
