Camino in King's Cross is opening an aperitivo bar on Pentonville

King's Cross residents and workers have long loved the hidden spot Camino, tucked away in Vanisher's Yard off the main drag. But the Spanish spot will soon be a lot less of a hidden gem once it opens its new Pentonville Road-facing bar. As part of a big development, Camino has taken over the old luggage shop on Pentonville and turned it into an aperitivo bar that'll also be a new entrance for the restaurant itself.

The new 40-seat bar will serve up everything you could want for in an aperitivo bar, so drinks-wise there will be vermouths and tonics, dry sherries and cava to go with plates of jamón, charcuterie and artisan cheese. If you want to pop in at lunchtime they'll serve up Catalan Coca flat breads, Mollettes de Antequera (soft Andalusian bread rolls) with toppings, bikini sandwiches and tortilla.

It's the final stage of a series of changes for Camino, the most recent of which was the transformation of their mini Bar Pepito into Bar Rioja.
