There’s news afoot in Breakfast Club land again. We recently told you about the famous yellow ‘caff’ and its first venture into the travel-sphere, with the new outlet at Gatwick’s North Terminal. Now, they’re launching another new site in Seven Dials, Covent Garden - their 15th opening across the country.
If this breakfast-focused destination (yes, the clue is in the name) has somehow passed you by, you can find them not only in London but as far afield as Oxford, Chelmsford and Brighton. Renowned for the welcoming ‘vibe’ as much as the food, their caffs (no, they won’t call them cafes) blast out nostalgic soundtracks while the bacon (or La Vie’s vegan bacon) sizzles. If you’re lucky, you might hear Simple Minds’ ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’ for a truly meta The Breakfast Club experience, evoking the 1985 film of the same name.
The menu highlights include:
- The All-American: pancakes, bacon, sausage, homestyle potatoes, fried eggs, maple syrup
- Pancakes, Cream & Berries: pancakes, fresh berries, lemon and vanilla cream, maple syrup
- Breakfast Burrito: chorizo or vegan chorizo, scrambled egg, avocado, cheese and hot sauce
- Fried Chicken, Bacon & Waffles: freshly baked buttermilk waffle, golden buttermilk fried chicken, crispy bacon, fried egg
- Veggie Spoon: three La Vie veggie bacon, portobello mushrooms, hash browns, house-made BC beans, tomatoes and fried eggs (or scrambled tahini turmeric tofu)
If you’re in the mood for a Breakfast Mai Tai (or a Rise & Shine Mimosa), this is the place. Or you could settle for a mug of Yorkshire tea, a pressed juice, a smoothie, or any type of coffee imaginable using their house-blend Morning Glory.
