Somewhat out of nowhere, a new restaurant by Kitty Fisher's is opening - and it's right in the middle of Soho.
It's all part of the new makeover of the Boulevard Theatre in Soho which is becoming Underbelly Boulevard. That's going to be a new cabaret space, with the first show by Bernie Dieter. The theatre did have a restaurant when it first reopened in 2019, but that's getting a full makeover too, becoming Cafe Kitty.
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner whether you're going to a show or not (although special deals will be available if you have tickets) and on the opening menu will be:
- Mushroom Thermidor
- Very Welsh Rarebit
- Courgette Bahji & Curried Yoghurt
- Leek & Chestnut Pithivier
- Curried Monkfish, Samphire, Crispy Shallots & Beurre Blanc
Alongside those are snacks like a Portland crab croquette or a smoked beef cigarillo. It's a pretty enticing menu overall, and the team behind it won a lot of praise at both Kitty Fisher's and the Covent Garden follow-up Cora Pearl, so this is definitely worth taking note of.
