Whether you're a royalist or a fervent republican, you can't fail to have been impressed by the glamour of the dinner President Macron threw for the King and Queen at Versailles the other week. Now, for one night only, Londoners are being given a chance to try the food served up to the royals at the state banquet in Paris.
Two of the chefs responsible for dishes at the dinner, Anne-Sophie Pic and Yannick Alleno have restaurants at Four Seasons hotels in London (La Dame du Pic and Pavyllon respectively). So they'll be reprising that by serving both their starter and main course at a one-off dinner at Pavyllon.
For £275 you'll be able to try dishes fit for a king with chef Anne-Sophie’s starter Blue lobster and brown crab, fresh almonds voile and costmary mint, and chef Yannick’s main Bresse Poultry with a hint of corn served with Cep Gratin. The banquet's dessert was by chef Pierre Hermé whose dish of Raspberry, litchi and rose sorbet, macaron will also be served.
If you can't make the dinner, then you'll still be able to try the dishes each of which will go on the menus at the chef's respective restaurants in London.
