We've seen a sudden influx of new taco restaurants of late. Two have been from footballers and another incoming taco joint is from a Hollywood star. So it's actually something of a change to see one of London's OG taco restaurants open a second location - and that's what we have here.
After years of success in Clerkenwell (and a more brief, less successful stop-off in Carnaby) Breddos Tacos are getting ready to open their next space, this time in Stoke Newington. Opening above the mezcal bar Doña, it's not a massive shift for that space as it was once home to Tigre Tacos.
On the menu here, you'll find many of the tacos from the Clerkenwell restaurant. That includes the Tijuanese carne asada and pollo al carbon tacos alongside seafood tostadas with ceviche, shellfish, salsa macha and avocado. The Quesa Biria made with dry-aged beef short rib, cheek, oxtail and brisket will also make an appearance.
On top of that, they'll also have a Mexican brunch featuring Birria De Res and more. So any Stoke Newington locals who were missing their taco fix after Tagre Tacos packed and who've already tried Sonoria, you have another great place coming your way.
