The Knight of Notting Hill takes over from The KPH

The Knight of Notting Hill takes over from The KPH

Updated 6/10/23 with opening date

The pub that was once The KPH in Notting Hill is going through another big revamp and is set to emerge as The Knight of Notting Hill.

It'll be the second free house pub from Zora Singh, who also opened Three Falcons in St John's Wood, which Giles Coren said featured excellent northern Indian cooking. The menu here seems a little more eclectic than that, with options including:

  • Garlic Madagascan prawn with sourdough
  • Pork belly tacos with piquillo pepper and homemade ketchup
  • Old Delhi butter chicken with butter paratha
  • Pappardelle with blue cheese and crispy sage
  • Spotted dick

As for the pub itself, there's a general refit throughout, including new banquette seating and marble-topped tables.

Of course, The KPH was best known as a music pub (Tom Jones, The Clash and Phil Lynnott all played there), and that's set to continue in the new era. They say they'll "continue the pub’s tradition as a live music venue with events featuring rappers, singers and DJs."

There's been a pub here for 157 years, so here's hoping this latest version makes a success of it.
