Having hit the news for securing a $10k donation from Beyoncé after she performed just up the road, Tottenham restaurant Chuku's is keeping up the heat with a new collaboration with Yard Sale Pizza. And we'll confess, we fancy this a LOT.
The ‘Lagos Heat’ pizza, which hits Yard Sale's Tottenham and Walthamstow branches this month is topped with spicy, smoked Lamb Asun (peppered with ginger, garlic, red onion, coriander & scotch bonnet), sweet fried plantain, and a jollof stew base combined with Yard Sale's house tomato sauce and fior di latte mozzarella.
It's a neat completing of the circle for Chuku’s co-founder Ifeyinwa who worked for Yard Sale back in the days when Chuku's was still running as a pop-up.
"We hope for those familiar with Nigerian food they'll love our Nigerian spin on a pizza," says Ifenyiwa's partner Emeka, "and for those new to Nigerian flavours, we hope that it'll spark their curiosity to explore the cuisine even further."
Lagos Heat will be available for takeaway, delivery and dine-in from Wednesday 16 August until 30 August at Yard Sale's Tottenham and Walthamstow locations.
