Easily one of the best places for sandwiches in London, the amazing Max's Sandwich Shop is closing for a little bit of refurb for the next few weeks. But Max isn't going away completely - he's decided to move (literally) up the road for the duration.
For just one week, from today, Max will be popping up at Neil Gill's Deli at 80 where he'll be making three completely new sandwiches. There will be just 30 sandwiches a day, for four days and they'll be:
- The Ollie Reynolds (AKA A Knock Off @PizzaLoco Jamie Thiccston): mortadella, fennel salami, (grilled aubergines for veggie) burrata, lemon zest, gherkins, a smattering of lettuce and loads of lemon and basil aioli
- My Favourite Pizza as a Toastie: fennel sausage (artichoke hearts for veggie), scamorza (smoked mozzarella), friarielli
- The Thank You Brindisa: grilled chorizos (smoked paprika marinated, grilled halloumi for veggie), rocket, piquillo pepper, lemon juice, garlic mayo
It's all much closer to Finsbury Park station than the main shop so if you're in the area, you really do owe it to yourself to pop up and grab a sandwich.
