The fried chicken behemoth that is Morley's (which just opened its 100th store) is trying something a little bit different - a team-up with The Standard hotel and Heinz.
They're launching a one-month chicken shop pop-up, taking over Double Standard on the ground floor and terrace of the King's Cross hotel (although there will be takeaway too, just to ensure it keeps those chicken shop credentials). On the menu will be a few things you definitely won't find in a normal Morley's:
- The Combo Meal - 2-pieces of Morley’s original recipe chicken with ketchup salt, Heinz sauce and which comes in a custom-designed Morley’s x Heinz box
- Chicken drumstick, with caviar - served with Heinz Truffle Mayo
- Wing tower - 20 Chicken wings served with a choice of 3 Heinz sauces & chips
- Chicken and waffles - with hot honey Glaze & Heinz BBQ Sauce
Desserts will include caramelised apple donuts and a chocolate sundae sprinkled with ketchup sherbet. For drinks there's a frozen mango margarita with spicy salt rim, boozy Coke float among the options. For the length of the pop-up, you'll also be able to buy some special Morley’s X Heinz Fried Chicken Sauce, which is only available during the pop-up.
