Wild Notting Hill is a Wild Tavern spin-off

wild tavern notting hill opening

23/9/23 - updated with the opening date

Four years after they opened Wild Tavern in Chelsea, the team behind that is opening Wild Notting Hill. It is, as you'll have guessed from the name, in the heart of W11, having taken over the space left by popular brunch spot 202 on Westbourne Road.

There will be a lot of similarities, Hot Dinners was told, between the OG Wild Tavern and the Notting Hill spin off, with the food and ethics of its sourcing all very similar. "We'll be using the best fish and meat we can get our hands on," said GM Crispin Sugden. Plus you can expect to find a particularly good wine offering in place when it opens.

If you haven't been to the Chelsea restaurant then think raw red prawns from Sicily, Puglian burrata with tomatoes, British beef carpaccio and some amazing steaks along with bouji pasta dishes like Tavern tortello with wagyu ox tail.

On the upside, the menu may not be quite as punchily priced as its Elystan Street big sibling. What it will also have, as a first, will be a breakfast offering. That will be available pretty soon after it opens up. As for the space, it's a big spot - with room for 120 diners - and they've got both a conservatory space at the back and a decent-sized terrace.

Look out too for at least two more Wild Tavern openings in the next few years as the team are working on two sites, in Mayfair and Kensington.
