All eyes have been on the wine bar formerly known as P Franco to see who's taking over cheffing duties now that the bar is properly up and running again. This week we got the answer; they've signed up former St John sous chef Elliott Hashtroudi who'll be cooking up a storm here for the rest of the year.
Asked what his menu will consist of Elliot said it would be "influenced from time at St. JOHN, but it’s an amalgamation of stuff really. My dad being Iranian, there’s an influence there, but that isn’t the focus of the food. I’d say it’s British with French influence. The choux pastry with chicken liver & trotter and parsley terrine in this weekends menu are clear examples of that."
Other treats he's promising include cockles with pigs cheek and laverbread and rollright ice cream with strawberries and chamomile.
