310 Portobello is The Pelican and Straker's Notting Hill summer pop-up

310 portobello road pop up london

They're two of the hottest places in West London right now and over the course of the summer The Pelican and Straker's have taken over the spot on Portobello Road that was Pizza East for a pop-up.

The menu is short and sweet serving up dishes like fritto misto and aubergine parmigiana together with the fabulous flatbreads that customers have raved about in reviews of Straker’s and which the chef will be bringing to the fore at his new restaurant in Arcade Battersea. Chef Thomas will be splitting his time between the popup, his own restaurant down the road, and the new place in Arcade when that opens.

At 310 Portobello there will be three brand new versions of the flatbread on offer:

  • Tomato, oregano, olive oil
  • Girolles, garlic, parsley, lemon
  • Lobster, fennel, chilli, butter

As for drinks expect a super short list of wines along with frozen margaritas, palomas and Aperol spritzes.

The pop-up will run for three months following which the space will be refurbished to turn it back into a pub which it was around thirteen years ago when it was The Fat Badger.

Thanks to Rob - Notting Hill Gourmet for this story and photos.
