Can't quite make the time to get away to the beach this summer? Well if you're near Walthamstow, the beach is coming to you.
Big Penny Social have created Walthamstow-on-Sea (or at least "on reservoir") by dumping a tonne or so of sand in their backyard. They're even adding beach huts, which you can book for up to four people for the entire session (lunch or dinner).
Of course, it wouldn't be the seafront without fish and chips so the beach is coming with its own chippy, Penny's. On top of that, they'll have frozen cocktails, soft serve ice cream (including 99s) and special events too.
So assuming the weather does actually improve for summer - a trip to the beach in Walthamstow for some beach vibes might be a plan.
