Claude Bosi is having a very busy year. Not only has he opened Socca in Mayfair, but he's opening a brand new restaurant, Brooklands, at the top of the new Peninsula London hotel.
His rooftop restaurant Brooklands will be "inspired by the classic eras of British aviation and motorsport". That'll be showcased in the restaurant with "Rolls Royce-inspired interiors" and a ceiling that's made to look like Concorde.
As far as the food goes, it was originally billed as being British cuisine, but they're now saying it will be "the very best of British ingredients using traditional French techniques". That means dishes like:
- Exmoor Caviar with Roscoff onion and duck jelly
- Great Fen Farm celeriac Nosotto with crab and coconut
- Scottish Cèpe, banana and crème fraîche
On top of that, there's a separate Brooklands Bar, with a bar snacks menu by Bosi.
We can see that it's going to have one of London's most impressive rooftop terraces, with views right across the heart of the city.
It's not the only restaurant at the hotel. The ground floor is home to Chinese restaurant Canton Blue. Led by Chef Dicky To, that features dishes that "celebrate the spice-trade union of Asian and British cultures".
There is a lobby restaurant (where they'll serve afternoon tea) along with The Peninsula Boutique & Café. And that, as you'll see from the image below, looks pretty spectacular too.
If you're wondering where this new hotel is, it's a brand new building on Hyde Park Corner, overlooking Green Park and Hyde Park.
