Last year, the launch of Anya Cafe's ice cream pop-up from Anya Hindmarch caused a bit of a stir. Rather than use plain old flavours like vanilla, they had mayonnaise, ketchup and even Lee and Perrins Worcestershire sauce.
Well, it proved to be something of a hit (TikTok certainly helped) and now they're back with another helping for this summer. And while some flavours have remained, like Heinz Tomato Ketchup and Kikkoman Soy Sauce, there are some new crazy flavours for 2023. As before, they're all very recognisable brands and include:
- Branston - "Mellow cheddar cheese with the ‘chunky, crunchy bite’ of Branston"
- Birds Eye Petits Pois - "Smooth and refreshing with the natural sweetness of specially selected peas"
- Blue Dragon Original Sweet Chilli - "Rich, creamy vanilla with the sticky sweet tang of chilli and a touch of heat"
- Warburtons Crumpets - "Packed full with melt-in-your-mouth toasted crumpet and notes of butter"
Like last time, there are also some flavours that you might think more naturally suit ice cream, including:
- Ambrosia Rice Pudding - "Creamy and delicious, laced with the original Devon rice pudding"
- Maldon Salt - "Rich dark chocolate elevated with Maldon sea salt flakes and dark chocolate shavings"
- Kellogg’s Coco Pops - "Milk chocolate with the crunch of chocolate flavoured toasted rice"
- Mcvitie’s Digestives - "Blended with the ‘classic sweet and salty crunch’ of the original digestive biscuit"
- Ribena - "The unmistakably delicious taste of juicy blackcurrants, bursting with berryness"
As before, they're all available by the scoop, if you fancy mixing some digestive and petit pois. Or maybe you could mix some rice pudding with Branston? And on top of that, you can get each of the flavours as large tubs to take home (or more likely to the park).
