Ynyshir tops the National Restaurant Awards 2023 list again, Da Terra at 3, Bouchon Racine in at 5

Yynshir tops the National Restaurant Awards 2023 list again, Da Terra at 3, Bouchon Racine straight in at no. 5

The Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards for 2023 have been announced and, after its debut last year at the top, Ynyshir has once again retained the pole position as Restaurant of the Year. The Welsh restaurant has been going from strength to strength in recent years and that success looks to continue.

In the upper echelons of the list, Moor Hall once again hangs onto number two, while Da Terra makes a big jump up 15 places to grab the number three position. As for new entries, Henry Harris' Bouchon Racine has pulled off an amazing debut, going straight in at number five. That restaurant has been getting a fantastic reception ever since opening, so its big result here will help to round off a very impressive first six months.

Other notable new entries for London include Alex Dilling at no. 13, Dorian at 46 and the revamped Humble Chicken at 50.

Special awards on the night included:

Chef of the Year: Kenny Atkinson (of House of Tides in Newcastle)
Restaurateur of the Year: Samyukta Nair (Socca, Koyn)
