While we wait for the main event on 20 June, the World's 50 Best Restaurants started ramping up the excitement by releasing the 51-100 section of the list.
It's always an interesting reveal, not least because if any of the UK restaurants that were in this section last year but aren't this year, you can begin speculating as to whether they've dropped out altogether or have risen to the heady heights of the actual top 50.
For the UK there was one new entry on the list - Core by Clare Smyth came in at No 71. It's actually a re-entry for Core which was also in this part of the list in 2019. Lyles slipped down the slit from 54 last year to 86, but it was good news for Brat which rose from 81 to 53. Will they make the list proper next year? Who knows.

Also of interest to Londoners are Burnt Ends at 65 and Alléno Paris au Pavillon Ledoyen, both of which are coming to London with Burnt Ends opening in Harrods and Pavyllon London already soft launching on Park Lane.
