House of Ming is a Chinese restaurant that's big in New Delhi - and now it's opening in London. Like its Indian sibling, the restaurant is opening in a Taj Hotel, The St James's Court (you'll find that in Westminster).
With a focus on Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine, it looks like being a luxury affair with a menu that includes:
- Prawn truffle siu mai,
- Crispy taro and oyster dumplings
- BBQ lamb with cumin and chilli
- Stir-fried lobster, king prawns with XO sauce
On top of this, there will be the Flaming Duck, which is delivered to the table with a gong and yes, is flamed at the table. If that's a bit too full-on for you, they're also making a big deal of a couple of tables for two which have their own privacy curtains around them. So if you're after a more private dinner (or you're an MP having a secret meeting) that might be for you...
