For the past 92 years, the Grill at The Dorchester on Park Lane has been known as just that, The Grill. But now they're ringing in several changes by switching that up to The Grill By Tom Booton, naming it after the restaurant's Executive Chef for the first time.
Booton, who joined the restaurant back in 2019 (he was previously at Alyn Williams), has been hard at work on a brand new menu to go along with the restaurant's new name, working alongside his Head Chef Adam Nevin.
New dishes on the main menu at lunch and dinner include:
- Welsh lamb belly and cuttlefish skewers
- All the Chicken - served in a variety of ways
- Ham, egg and chips - given a new twist
- Baked apple tart with cider and Cornish Yarg
As part of the changes afoot, the restaurant will also be opening for breakfast for the first time, serving up - in addition to a Full English - classics like an Arnold Bennett omelette and Tom’s bacon, cheesy sauce & fried egg baked pastries.
It sounds like the gilded dining room is also going to be a less formal place to enjoy a meal, from snacks being created up at the Chef's Counter to playlists chosen by Tom himself.
